REND Programme

Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (HWE ICB) and NIHR ARC East of England have embarked on the second phase of the Research Engagement Network Development (REND) programme. Following the successful completion of Phase 1, Phase 2 aims to enhance inclusivity in research by addressing significant barriers within our healthcare systems. This phase will focus on building trust through community partnerships, increasing the visibility of research, and prioritising the use of patient care records to identify potential research participants.

Communities 1st is committed to facilitating the REND programme by engaging researchers interested in collaborating with local communities. We invite researchers to contribute to various discreet work packages aimed at enhancing research inclusivity.

To support researchers in identifying and engaging with individuals and local communities, we have created an online referral section. By completing the form below, researchers can request assistance and express their interest in participating on this initiative.
