Hate Crime Awareness & Reporting Training
As responsible and caring members of our community we should all care about working to challenge all forms of hate crime and discrimination, based on any aspect of an individual’s identity. If we are to combat intolerance and create more inclusive and welcoming communities for all, it is important that hate crimes/incidents are reported. We have teamed up with Hertfordshire Constabulary who will be delivering some training via Microsoft Teams, for anyone wishing to increase their awareness of hate crime and learn how to respond.
The session will include how to identify hate crime, how to support your local reporting centre, how to submit a report and how to provide support to hate crime victims. Anyone who completes this session and would like to be further involved in raising hate crime awareness can undertake further training and become an 'Anti Hate Crime Champion'. The second Hate Crime Awareness session will be delivered on Tuesday 27th April.
