Working together with Hertsmere Borough Council, we are delivering freshly cooked meals in cool boxes from Akshaya Patra kitchens in Watford to four hubs in Hertsmere.
The fresh meals are distributed from the hubs for residents who feel impacted by the cost-of-living crisis.
Who can use this service?
Anyone who is acutely impacted by the cost-of-living crisis can use this service. Though this service is used primarily by families, the elderly, and vulnerable individuals, people come from all walks of life and nobody will be turned away.
Is there a charge for this service?
There is no charge.
When and where can I access this service?
Summer Meals will be available from 12:00 - 13:00 on weekdays at the distribution locations below.

Food Distribution Locations
Between 25th July and 2nd September, fresh meals will be delivered every weekday between 12:00 - 13:00 to the following distribution points:
Borehamwood
- St Michael's Church, Brook Road, Borehamwood, WD6 5EQ
- Shakespeare Drive, Borehamwood, WD5 2FD
Bushey
- SRMD Temple, Falconer Road, Bushey, WD23 3AD
Meals are available from the following location only between 25th-29th July:
- Bushey Youth & Community Centre, Falconer Road, WD23 3AT
Potters Bar
