Education - Inspire Programme

Communities 1st launched the Inspire programme in late 2019 as a school engagement project aimed at bringing local business and the education sector closer together.

Linking curriculum to careers is a key area of focus for schools, particularly at KS3 level. Encouraging students to start thinking about the world of work at this age, just before they start working towards their GCSEs, helps them to identify links between what they are learning at school and how the skills they are developing will benefit them in the world of work.

Since 2019, Communities 1st has delivered Inspire KS3 Masterclasses in a range of formats including within the classroom, as a live virtual event and as pre-recorded talks provided via a secure link to participant schools.

We are always looking for support and involvement from members of the local business community, so if you would like to volunteer some time to be one of our Inspire speakers and talk to local school pupils about your own career journey, please contact Rob at memberservices@communities1st.org.uk

If you are from a school and would like to find out more about the Inspire programme and how it can be tailored to suit your school’s requirements, please also contact Rob at memberservices@communities1st.org.uk
