South West Herts Samaritans
Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide. We believe that suicide is preventable.
Samaritans is here for anyone struggling to cope – day or night, 365 days a year. We take action to prevent people reaching crisis point, helping people find ways to cope and learn the skills to be there for others. We campaign to make suicide prevention a priority.
SW Herts Samaritans, based in Watford, serves the whole of South West Herts. We offer support by telephone, email and face to face. We run various local outreach initiatives, for example supporting the Samaritans Listener Service in HMP The Mount, supporting visitors at the Prison Visitor Centre, giving talks in schools on emotional wellbeing, and awareness raising and support at local railway stations.
