The District’s First Community Fair!

Over 45 small, local charities within our District are coming together at The Alban Arena on Wednesday June 13th to invite the public to meet them and see how they can help locally.

Everyone is invited!

If you have been thinking of volunteering or donating to small locally run groups, come and meet the volunteers behind the fabulous work being done to support vulnerable people in our District.

Nikki Casey, Project Manager at Community Central said “This is the ideal opportunity to gather with friends and see how you can help – it isn’t always a weekly time commitment that’s needed. Some groups just need transport support on occasion or Social Media support. Supporting others is a great way to improve your own mental health and wellbeing by giving back”

Teachers and pupils from local schools are encouraged to come along to see how they might support a local charity, especially those doing Duke of Edinburgh scheme or National Citizens Service, both of which require participants to volunteer.

St Albans District is YOUR community - a fabulous place to live and work and there are opportunities for everyone get involved locally
