Volunteering Opportunity: Gardener with Rennie Grove Hospice Care

Key tasks may include
weeding, planting and digging
moving pots, bags of compost or garden furniture
mowing the lawn
shrub pruning
cleaning paved areas
occasional projects to redesign and replant areas of the garden
repainting/re-staining garden furniture
leaf sweeping and tidying during the winter months
working in the greenhouse – watering, planting seeds, potting on etc.

Key skills
good basic gardening knowledge and skills
able to use gardening tools and manage the more heavy duty tasks such as lifting and digging
reliable and flexible
enjoys working as part of a team

Time of day: Weekday Mornings, Casual or Intermittent

Practical Considerations: Only for aged 18 and above
