Volunteering Opportunity: Counsellor volunteer with Rennie Grove Hospice Care

You will be:
• providing counselling for children and adults (patients, carers, siblings, family members)
• providing counselling support on the phone or via a virtual platform
• attending mandatory supervision every two weeks
• following all Rennie Grove Hospice Care policies and procedures at all times
We are looking for:
• a Level 4 counselling qualification
• excellent listening and communication skills
• the ability to empathise with others, while maintaining professional boundaries
• someone who can be flexible and reliable
• someone who is able to work independently to manage clients and their workload, but is able to work as part of a team to deliver our service
• someone with basic IT skills who is able to keep concise, accurate records and stick to reporting deadlines

Location: From your office, From home

Time of day: Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons

Practical Considerations: You will be asked to visit clients in their own homes, so will need access to your own transport.

Requirements: Relevant qualification or training, Will require a criminal record check (DBS), Own vehicle or access to a vehicle, Driving licence

Requirements (additional): Will require 1 reference
