We are looking for volunteers to help clients on a neighbourly walk.

We know how beneficial walking can be for the mind and the body, and we want to support as many people in the community as we can to maintain their independence and get same fresh air while doing it.

Practical Considerations: Volunteers will need to be DBS checked and Volunteer expenses can be covered.

Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)

Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, University students, Families, Older People

Full Description:
The neighbourly walk service allows volunteers to meet with members of the community who may be elderly, have long term health conditions, and feeling lonely, get outside and back into their community.

The walks are usually fortnightly, take place outside and will vary in length and duration depending on the client’s needs.
