Able2enable takes a holistic approach to support individuals to develop key life skills, improve wellbeing and increase employability skills. We encourage individuals to grow within their capabilities by providing them with coaching and wellbeing support, training opportunities and supported volunteering placements.  

We offer each individual a tailored approach that explores the areas for personal development that the individual would like to focus on. This could include building confidence, developing self-esteem, communication skills, employability skills.  

Through the Able2Enable project, we aim to: 

Improve well-being.  

Develop confidence and self-esteem 

Inspire and enable anybody to volunteer and take an active role in their community. 

Help individuals to develop their skills and enhance their potential. 

Promote volunteering as an activity for everybody. 

Help individuals to develop clear goals. 

Encourage individuals to gain skills to get closer to employment

Location: From your office, Online, Indoor, Event

Time of day: Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons, To Be Discussed

Practical Considerations: Volunteer expenses and mileage can be paid.

This role can be done in our Ver house - Frogmore offices, our Borehamwood hub, the St Albans Civic Centre and over the phone or online during the week.

Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)

Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, University students, Older People, People with restricted mobility

Full Description:
What will you be doing?

As an Able2enable Support Coach you will be helping with the following: -
Assisting clients in face-to-face meetings supporting them to build confidence and set goals.
Helping them job search or search for volunteering opportunities with them and then support them to apply and through the whole process.
Supporting them to develop self-esteem and resilience
Working alongside and monitored by the project lead.
Helping to coordinate appointments.
Managing your own caseload of clients with support from our team.

What are we looking for?

Someone with empathy and kindness.
Someone who likes to help motivate others.
Someone who can manage a small case load.
Able to commit to a minimum of 3 hours a week.
Able to use basic Microsoft Word and email services.
Ability to communicate with a range of people.
All Training will be provided.
