Full Description:
The Charity is run by a Board of Trustees, that meets around four times a year. The Trustees role is to work with the other Trustees to oversee the management and upkeep of the Almshouse, built in 1793. The Trustees deal, as required, using contractors where necessary, with all the practical issues in the upkeep of a Grade 2 listed building and look after the well-being of the seven female residents. The Trustees have Board meetings where we discuss the current issues and actions, such as meeting the housing legislation requirements and residents' welfare. Clerical back-up is provided from the Board and the Treasurer works with the Trustees on matters with financial implications.
