Volunteering Opportunity: EVENTS COORDINATOR with Herts Visual Arts CIC

Herts Visual Arts CIC (HVA) runs several events and exhibitions each year. These are usually planned and organised by a team of local HVA Artists. The Events Coordinator pulls together these teams, offers them guidance and support during the project and ensures that key activities are undertaken in a timely manner.

Practical Considerations: Although most of this role can be handled online from home, there may be times when onsite visits are needed. Out of pocket expenses will be covered.

Full Description:
HVA runs an annual programme of events and exhibitions each year as well as an annual conference. Each event is treated as a project follows a defined plan. The Events Coordinator has an overarching role for all events reporting to the Chair and is a member of the HVA Organising Group.

HVA events include up to 3 Art Fair exhibitions, Herts Open Studios and an annual conference. Other activities may be introduced as HVA develops.

What will you do?

1 Pull together, supervise and liaise with the local event teams and relevant Area Coordinator.
2 Make sure everything is in place from venue booking to delivery.
3 Liaise with the Business Relationships Developer and Area Coordinator to agree on likely candidates to approach for event sponsorship and advertising (if relevant).
4 Provide reports to the Chair and Executive Team.
5 Review, maintain and update relevant project plans.
6 Offer in person support at events if possible.

What are we looking for?

You will be a well organised projects coordinator who is used to supporting remote teams. It is likely that there will be more than one event team in action at any one time. You will be confident liaising online with these teams, with other volunteers and with the Executive Team.
