Small Charity Week 2026

Monday 22 - Monday 29 June 2026

This Small Charity Week, Communities 1st is proud to be part of a national celebration of the vital role small charities play in communities across the UK.

This year’s campaign, Small charities. Big impact, shines a light on the difference small charities make every day, supporting people, strengthening communities and creating change where it matters most.

In Hertsmere, St Albans and Welwyn Hatifield, our member charities play a crucial role in supporting their local communities whether it being  tackling food poverty, supporting mental health, empowering young people, relieving social isolation in older adults, helping people of all ages and abilities to find their creative spark, and a lot more! All their work helps to create connection, opportunity and support for those who need it most.

We are hosting a series of events this week to connect with our members and celebrate.
