This inclusive barista training and English conversation group combines practical coffee skills with supported, real-life communication practice for people who lack confidence in customer service settings. The course supports refugee integration by developing cultural awareness, understanding UK workplace expectations, and building professional and social communication skills. Participants learn how coffee is made, how to use and care for equipment, prepare espresso-based drinks, and work safely and professionally, while gaining confidence, teamwork skills, and a strong sense of community in a welcoming environment.
- Please arrive on time or 5–10 minutes before the start.
- If you arrive late, you may lose your opportunity to practise using the coffee machine that session.
- Three missed sessions without a sufficient reason (for example illness) may result in losing your place, as we have a waiting list.
- We keep numbers small so that everyone can receive enough attention and hands-on support from the instructors.
