Our shops are the high street face of Isabel Hospice and the money they raise will enable us to meet the growing need our communities.
Purpose:
To assist the Shop Manager and staff team to maximise the income of the shop by ensuring the shop floor is fully stocked, properly merchandised and customers are served efficiently.
Location:
21 South Street, Bishop Stortford CM23 3AB
Times:
We ask you to commit to at least one regular half day session per week; either:

Time of day: Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons, Weekend Half Days
Practical Considerations: Shifts are Monday to Saturday: 9am- 1pm or 1pm-5pm
Sunday: 10am-12am or 1pm-4pm

Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)

Full Description:
What you’ll be doing:
Under the leadership of your Shop Manager, you will be assisting with:
- Serving customers, providing the highest standard of customer care
- Cash handling and till operation.
- Ensuring both stock and cash security procedures are followed at all times.
- Merchandising donated stock within the shop and shop windows.
- Keeping the shop and premises clean and tidy.
- Providing support to new volunteers to help them settle into the organisation.
- The promotion of public understanding of the work of Isabel Hospice and the importance of raising funds through the shop.
- The promotion the Hospice lottery and raising awareness of Gift Aid to our customers if eligible.
- Promoting and apply the Isabel Hospice Health & Safety Policy.
