The resources that we use to run our creative art therapy sessions are key to allowing our patients to fully express themselves with a wide range of materials. A volunteer in this role will support the Creative Therapies Lead to make sure that we have the appropriate resources and materials in place, that they are well organised and easily available, and that they are replenished regularly. A volunteer in this role will help to free up valuable time for our therapists to spend with patients.Opportunity Type: Long-term Commitment

Practical Considerations: • there will be some mandatory training that you will need to complete at the start of your volunteering with us and then periodically afterwards as refresher training which will include data security and confidentiality

Full Description:
Purpose of this role
Our Creative Therapies team work with patients and family members to offer the opportunity to explore and express complex thoughts and emotions around the experience of dealing with life-limiting illness and loss.
The resources that we use to run our creative art therapy sessions are key to allowing our patients to fully express themselves with a wide range of materials. A volunteer in this role will support the Creative Therapies Lead to make sure that we have the appropriate resources and materials in place, that they are well organised and easily available, and that they are replenished regularly. A volunteer in this role will help to free up valuable time for our therapists to spend with patients.
Main tasks
• create and manage an inventory for all art materials
• support with organising the art cupboard and art room
• support with ordering items and replenishing stock

• someone with a methodical approach and attention to detail
• someone who is happy to work with the team, but also happy to work on their own once they have a good understanding of the role
