Are you a people person? Do you enjoy working as part of a small team to make a real difference?The demand for our local counselling service has grown exponentially and we need our community to support us. Youth Talk need you to help bring people together and organise community events to raise much needed funds so we can reach more local young people who need our support.
Youth Talk is here to make sure young people in the St Albans District get the bets possible mental health support. Our vision is that every young person can talk to someone , whatever is worrying them. By providing free, confidential counselling services delivered by qualified counsellors, we make sure everyone from 13-25 in the area has access to this service, wherever their background or circumstances.

• Briefing and Support will be provided by the Youth Talk team
• Fundraising resources available online
• Reasonable expenses covered
• You will receive regular updates about our work, service, campaigns and events.
Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)
Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, University students, Older People, People with restricted mobility
Suitable for volunteers interested in: Children, Families & Family Support, Mental Health

Full Description:
Main responsibilities
• Help organise volunteer- led community events to raise money e.g. bake sales, coffee mornings, quiz nights, zumbathons...
• Approach local community organisations and individuals who might be interested in hosting fundraising events in aid of Youth Talk
• Promote the event (eg., emails, word of mouth, through social media or flyers)
• Research and recruit guests/ participants
• Deliver / host the event and thank all guests/ participants
• Oversee donation payments/ income
• Champion Youth Talk
