Are you a people person with a bit of spare time and a love for your local area? We’re looking for volunteers to help collect and manage our charity collection boxes from shops, cafés, and businesses in the community — raising vital funds for our hospice, one coin at a time!

We make over £25,000 every year from our collection boxes.

Opportunity Type: Long-term Commitment

Location: From home

Time of day: Casual or Intermittent

Practical Considerations: You will need to get to the shops/pubs etc independently, and not all of the locations may be wheelchair friendly. Please ask us if you need us to check access requirements.

Requirements: Own vehicle or access to a vehicle

Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, University students, Older People, People with a visual impairment, People with restricted mobility, Rehabilitation friendly

Suitable for volunteers interested in: End of Life, Bereavement & Hospices

Full Description:
What you’ll be doing:

Visiting local businesses to drop off and collect donation boxes
Building friendly relationships with shop owners and staff
Keeping track of box locations and collection dates
Helping us raise awareness and keep the donations flowing

What are we looking for?

You don’t need any special experience — just a friendly attitude, and a willingness to get out and about. We’ll give you all the support and training you need.
