HAWA Multicultural Services CIC (HAWA) is a dynamic organisation with a rich history of serving ethnically diverse communities in St Albans. Established in 2008 as the Hertfordshire Asian Women's Association, HAWA was founded with a singular mission: to empower women from diverse backgrounds. Over the years, we have evolved and expanded our services to encompass both men and women, prompting a name change to HAWA Multicultural Services CIC to better reflect our comprehensive approach.

Practical Considerations: Hours Required: Monday – Friday, 5 -7 hours per week, add hoc – Term Time Only.

Please note that this is an unpaid volunteer position, and no financial compensation will be provided. However, we will gladly offer a reference letter upon successful completion of your volunteering term.

Full Description:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to run our Social Media Volunteer. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our social media presence and engaging with our audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Write attractive captions for social media posts that effectively communicate our services and engage our audience.

- Edit images to accompany our social media posts.
- Utilise hashtags to increase the visibility and reach of our social media content.

- Create captivating Instagram video reels to showcase our services and engage our followers.

- Explore collaborations and innovative ways to further enhance our social media engagement.

- Brainstorm and propose potential ideas to improve and optimise our social media presence.

- Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.

- Stay up to date with social media best practices and emerging trends.

- Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns to promote our services and events.

- Engage with influencers and potential ambassadors to expand our reach.

- Monitor and report on social media metrics and performance to track the success of our efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Good knowledge of using social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

- Basic knowledge of photo editing Free software and techniques.

- Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the Directors & Project Coordinator.

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

- Familiarity with social media tools

- Passion for the arts or relevant field is desirable.
