Practical Considerations: Peace Hospice is a wheelchair accessible building - we would discuss with you any reasonable adjustments we can make.

There may be some patient moving and handling involved.

Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)

Requirements (additional): Someone with carer or nursing experience

Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, Older People, People with a visual impairment, People with restricted mobility

Full Description:
Are you kind, calm, and happy to lend a hand? We’re looking for volunteers to support our hospice inpatient unit — offering practical help, emotional support, and a friendly face to patients and families during some of life’s most important moments.

What will you be doing?

helping with serving meals and drinks
helping with patient's personal hygiene and toilet care
helping with therapeutic treatments and activities
keeping the nursing team up to date

What are we looking for?

You will need some carer or nursing experience, along with empathy, reliability and willingness to be there for others. We'll give you the training and support you need to feel confident and valued.
