Community Centre Facilities Support Volunteers
Role Description:
Assist with the setup and takedown of tables and chairs for various clubs and events. Secure the community centre by locking up after events, particularly those that end late at night.
Skills Needed: Reliability, physical ability to move furniture, familiarity and local to the Wormley Community Centre.
Commitment: Ad hoc, with a focus on evenings and weekends.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and community-minded individual to assist with the setup and takedown of tables and chairs for various clubs and events at the Wormley Community Centre. This role also involves locking up the centre after hours, particularly around events that finish late, such as parties or gatherings that may go on until midnight.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Preparation: Assist with setting up tables and chairs for clubs and events when needed.
Event Conclusion: Help with the takedown of tables and chairs after events.
Locking Up: Secure the community centre, ensuring all doors and windows are locked, particularly for events that finish late at night.
Ad Hoc Duties: Provide additional support as required, including liaising with event organisers to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
Familiarity with the Wormley Community Centre.
Ability to lift and move tables and chairs.
Responsible and trustworthy, particularly when it comes to securing the premises.
Flexibility to be available during evenings and weekends, especially for late-night events.
