Volunteering Opportunity: Volunteer Community Hub Support Role with Herts Welcomes Refugees

Herts Welcome Refugees are looking for volunteers to support the regular community hubs run by the refugee Council by supporting with Children's activities, informal conversation practice and accompanying individuals to and from the groups.

District: East Herts, Hertsmere, St Albans

Time of day: To Be Discussed

Practical Considerations: Minimum of 2 hours a week (hours can be flexible according to demands of the project)

Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)

Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, University students, Older People

Suitable for volunteers interested in: Refugees/Asylum seekers/Immigration, Voluntary & Community Action

Full Description:
Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with the Refugee Council in delivering their local Community Hubs. The Community Hubs will often consist of ESOL lessons and drop-in services run by Refugee Council staff and their partner organisations, which need assistance in their delivery.
