Social Media & Fundraising Assistant
Organisation:
Mama Cacao Collective, Mama Cacao Ltd – Empowering Marginalised Women Cacao Farmers, Increasing Visibility of Female Farmers & Fostering Ethical Consumption
Purpose of Role:
To provide essential support in managing communications, promoting the mission of the CIC and my work and products through social media, and assisting with fundraising efforts, allowing the Founder to focus on programme creation, delivery, training and making chocolate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Social Media Management
• Create, schedule, and post engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor engagement and suggest content improvements.
• Email & Communication Support
• Manage the organisation’s inbox, replying to general enquiries and flagging urgent matters.
• Draft and send fundraising letters to potential donors and supporters.
• Fundraising & Outreach
• Research and identify potential funding opportunities, sponsors, and partners.
• Support in compiling fundraising proposals.
• Event & Workshop Support
• Research and compile a list of schools, venues, and collaborators for workshops, lectures and talks
• Assist in outreach to confirm bookings or partnerships.
Skills & Attributes Required:
• Strong written communication skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms, specifically Instagram but also Facebook and LinkedIn.
• Good organisational and research skills.
• Interest in ethical consumerism, sustainability and environmental issues, environmental education or women’s empowerment.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
Time Commitment:
Flexible – approx. 8-12 hours per week.
Location: Remote, with occasional in-person meetings if local.
