Full Description:
The Volunteer Co-Ordinator role is key in ensuring we have great new volunteers who are properly vetted, trained and connected with a volunteer buddy. The Volunteer Coordinator manages the communications with current volunteers ensuring they receive support/training where necessary.
Responsibilities include interviewing, managing entry and exit, as well as producing the quarterly Volunteer Newsletter, maintaining contact with local volunteer recruitment agencies eg Communities 1st; providing information on training available for volunteer roles.
Skills/experience:
• This would suit someone who is friendly and outgoing, as you will be helping, advising and encouraging both new and existing volunteers, as well as talking to outside agencies.
• You will be working mainly on your own, with support from the Chair and other Trustees.
• You will be comfortable with administration and record keeping, and have a reasonable working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and ideally Teams
• The work is mostly remote, although you will be required to attend some meetings.
• On the job training will be given.
