Volunteering Opportunity: Community Café with United Reformed Church

The Community Café is looking for volunteers to help run the sessions. From preparing sandwiches, helping set up, and chatting to guests, the role is varied and fun. It has a great atmosphere, with a core group that come in weekly. We have a representative from Mind who comes in fortnightly for advice and support for the guests. If you are looking for an opportunity to support the community, have fun and meet new people, this is the place to do it.

Practical Considerations: Any training around safeguarding and food health and hygiene will be provided, at no cost to our volunteer.
DBS check may be required, but at no cost to our volunteer.

Full Description:
The role includes the following;
set up tables with activities, diary and pens etc.
Prepare sandwiches with correct PPE.
Ensure best practice around food health and hygiene, (advice and training provided).
Participate in activities and befriend guests.
Helping to close up the Café; washing up, wrapping food items for storage, clearing away food and activities.
Ensuring the guests have had a good time and taking time to say goodbye. Making our guests feel they belong and are valued as individuals.
