Practical Considerations: Volunteers will receive induction, training, and support from a named contact. Activities may take place remotely or in the community, with flexible hours agreed in advance. Confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalism are essential due to the nature of the charity’s work. The charity provides supervision, wellbeing support, and covers volunteers under its insurance while they are carrying out agreed tasks. Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed, and inclusivity and respect are central to the volunteering experience.

Full Description:
This casual fundraising volunteer role supports The James Foundation in raising vital funds to sustain our services for families affected by baby loss. Volunteers assist on an as-needed basis with flexible activities such as event support, donation processing, community fundraising, and administrative tasks. The role suits someone compassionate, organised, and proactive, who is comfortable communicating with the public and handling sensitive information. Volunteers may work remotely or attend occasional events, with hours agreed in advance. Full induction, guidance, and ongoing support are provided by the fundraising team, along with opportunities to develop new skills. Confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism are essential. Volunteers are covered by the charity’s insurance, reimbursed for reasonable expenses, and supported within an inclusive, caring environment that values emotional wellbeing and respect for all.
