Love getting outdoors? Want to Volunteer? We need you!Lee Valley Regional Park has a countryside management programme for volunteers which offers a wide range of practical outdoor tasks to those who would like to give
something back to their local environment. Whether you fancy trying some hedge-laying in Hertfordshire, extracting invasive species in Essex or lopping trees in London we can find a task for you.
What do you need?
All you need to bring is suitable outdoor clothing, footwear, a packed lunch with water and plenty of enthusiasm. Hot drinks, tools and training are provided. Please bring your own mug and work gloves (if you have them) to reduce the likelihood of spreading COVID.
What happens on the day?
The tasks normally run from 10:00 - 15:00. You’ll be met by a Ranger who will explain the site and task as well as demonstrating how to use the tools safely. Most people stay all day but any time you can spare will certainly help to make a difference!
