Volunteers often spot ideas, opportunities and small changes that could make a real difference in their communities. Sometimes those ideas are already well developed. Sometimes they begin with a simple question though: "Could we do this differently?" or "Would it be useful if...?"
Our new Volunteer Innovation Programme (VIP) gives you a way to share those ideas with us and, where an idea is selected, work with Communities 1st to explore and develop it.
You don't need to have a finished project plan or all the answers. We are interested in the idea, the difference you make and who it could help. If your idea is taken forward, we will work with you to turn it inro something practical, realistic and safe to test.
So, if there is something you would like to create, improve or try in your community, we would like to hear from you.
Simply visit the Volunteer Dashboard to access and complete your VIP application form. This is your opportunity to tell us about your idea and the difference you'd like to make. It is not important whether you have all the answers at this stage, as long as you can share your vision with us, we can support you with the rest.
There are no deadlines or limits when it comes to submitting your ideas. If you can see a way to make a positive difference in your community, we want to hear about it.
What happens after I submit my application?
All applications will be reviewed by a selection panel, and application status updates will be provided to all who submit an application.
