Misogyny and Extremism - Prevent workshop

This session will discuss how misogyny can often be part of a grievance narrative based around feminism movement and women’s rights, and some men feeling that they have lost their role in society as the provider.  These grievance narratives can lead certain individuals towards violent behaviours which may then lead onto extremism and terrorism.  We will discuss the rise of the manosphere, the incel subculture and how these emerging ideologies are linked.
