The Living Room

The Living Room provides free group therapy and holistic support, led by trained counsellors, to residents of Hertfordshire living with addiction. Since 2000, we have supported over 8,000 people affected by addictions to alcohol, drugs, disordered eating, and gambling. Our treatment programme focuses on addressing the underlying causes of addiction — including trauma, adverse childhood experiences, poor mental or physical health, and social isolation — enabling people to rebuild their lives and form healthy, supportive relationships. Through this holistic approach, individuals achieve positive outcomes such as improved wellbeing, stronger family relationships, reduced involvement in criminal activity, and better engagement in work and community life.
