Training Tuesday

Martin Luther King Jr once said, “You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step”.

This simple but profound statement is all about taking the first step towards a positive direction.

This may not be about money management but taking the first step to make changes on how one manages personal finances and makes decisions about money is a step towards achieving financial wellbeing. Sign up to money management courses on offer as part of the Multiply project.

Support your child and help them be confident with numbers by signing up to Help your Child love Numbers.

MULTIPLY WORKSHOPS

Make Do and Mend
Garment repair can be painful and expensive. We have so many clothes in our cupboards that occupy space and are loved that we don’t have the heart to throw them away. Mending your clothes and upcycling them not only helps save money but also helps reduce long term impacts on the environment.
In this session, participants will learn simple hand sewing techniques such as button sewing, hemming and altering at waist, whilst improving their numeracy skills and save money.

No sewing skills are needed. Just bring a garment that needs a simple hand repair and you will get the opportunity to begin working on it. If they wish, participants may bring their own sewing supplies.
This course is funded by Multiply a nation wide project to help adults improve their numeracy skills. Please note this is an in-person course.
