Volunteering Opportunity: Business Advisors with Young Enterprise (Hertfordshire)

Business Advisors are required to mentor teams from schools in the area taking part in Young Enterprise's Company Programme. In this programme students run their own registered Companies for the academic year, gaining real hands on experience taking part in trade Fairs and Competitions. Each team is allocated a volunteer Business Advisor to support and mentor them, as they decide their roles in the business, sell shares, raise funds, create their product and Company identity, create a Business report and a presentation about their Company.

Time of day: Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons, Weekend Half Days, Casual or Intermittent

Practical Considerations: Most teams have their ‘’Board Meeting’’ once a week either in school time or after(about an hour). Training is given and all Business Advisors are DBS checked by Young Enterprise.

Suitable for: 16 – 17 year olds, 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, School students, University students, Older People, People with a visual impairment, People with restricted mobility
