Full Description:
Main Responsibilities of the Post:

• Manage material such as camera footage, audio dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects to produce short videos.
• Bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
• Creating and delivering videos for various media (short films, podcast episodes, educational training videos, event highlight reels).
• Edit audio, add clips, splice clips, process with enhancements
● Upload and download to server
● Ensure quality of audio in videos where possible
● Photograph events for the charity
● Turn around finished product quickly
● Assist with the writing of voiceover/commentary
● Suggest or select music
● Experiment with styles and techniques, including the design of graphic elements
● Carry out online editing, potentially correcting faulty footage, grading and colouring and adding special effects.
● Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.

Experience we are looking for:

● Excellent IT skills, especially with design and video-editing software. Familiar with the use of any or all of: Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Adobe Audition, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut Pro and has access to any of these software or others relevant.
● You have prior experience as a photographer and videographer as well as a strong portfolio of sample projects (+2 years). Experience working in film or video production or post-production is highly desirable, preferably via an up-to-date and well-prepared showreel.
● Experience of working in interview podcasts is preferred with aboility to clean and fine-tune raw audio to make conversations sound more natural, mark unnecessary/redundant questions or responses and improve the overall flow/structure of the interview.
● Have experience involved in podcast editing (edit, mix and master audio) or eager to learn and lead on this.
● Clean audio files (remove noise, glitches, inconsistencies, mistakes etc.)
● You have excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas
● Content creation skills with a creative mind and storytelling skills
● Excellent knowledge of the English language and written and verbal communication skills.
● You have a keen eye for design and aesthetics
● Strong time management and organisational skills which are demonstratable. Organising your time to ensure efficiency and prioritise effectively.
● Charity sector knowledge especially in the mental health space.
● Teamwork and collaboration - the ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team
● The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines at times this can be intensive
