Full Description:
You will be part of Leecliffe Big Local, a resident led charity that aims to make Borehamwood a better place to live.
You will be provided with the raw content which you will then fashion into social media posts to raise awareness of our projects and events.
You will optimise content on various social media and mainstream platforms, so it is engaging, and generates interest.
You will be committed to one or two hours a week and volunteer mainly from home with some very occasional travel (to film, take photos or speak to people).
What will I be doing?
* Creating a weekly schedule of coordinated posts on various social media platforms to publicise and inform the community about upcoming Leecliffe Big Local projects and events:
* Generating, editing and publishing content to engage, inform and generate interest in Leecliffe Big Local activities using Facebook, X, Instagram, Youtube, LinkedIn, our website and the Big Local Workplace
* Diversifying the methods we use to communicate with the community including creating short films or videos, and taking photos.
* Talking to the existing volunteers, residents, and staff to create interesting stories about projects and events.
* Sharing and agreeing with one selected member of the Partnership Board the content of your work, and its signing of before being published.
* Working with the Community Engagement Officer, the Volunteer Coordinator, the Administrator to agree to the tasks needed.
What impact will I be making?
We need a Comms / Social Media expert to establish and promote Leecliffe Big Local’s presence in the local community.
This role offers the opportunity to make a difference to residents by increasing their awareness and encouraging their participation in our projects and events.
The projects and events that you will promote are free to the residents and aimed at tackling isolation and loneliness, supporting young people and adults with meaningful activities, enhancing the local environment and providing free meals during the winter.
What support will I get?
You will be supported by one member of the Partnership Board who will sign of your tasks.
The Volunteer Coordinator will ensure that you have the resources you need and that you are happy in your role.
