Location: From your office

Time of day: Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons

Practical Considerations: We provide treatment beds at Grove House and Peace Hospice - we will discuss with you how to adapt your treatments.

The buildings are wheelchair accessible and we are happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make.

When visiting patients at home, there may be a variety of accessibility issues, which we can discuss with you.

Requirements: Relevant qualification or training, Will require a criminal record check (DBS)

Requirements (additional): We are looking for a qualification in massage. Experience of working with people with a life limiting illness would be a bonus.

Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, Older People

Suitable for volunteers interested in: Carers Support, End of Life, Bereavement & Hospices, Health and Wellbeing

Full Description:
We’re looking for volunteers trained in massage to help bring comfort, relaxation, and a little peace to our patients and their carers.


What you’ll be doing:

Offering gentle, supportive treatments to patients, carers, or family members
Creating moments of calm in a busy world
Working alongside a warm, compassionate team who truly value what you do
You may be offering treatments at our hospice buildings in Watford or St Albans, or in people's homes


What are we looking for?

You’ll need to be qualified in your therapy, with at least one year's experience, and happy to work sensitively with people receiving palliative care. We’ll provide all the support you need — you bring your skills and your kindness.
