About the Role Support the day-to-day running of the Prehistory Centre by welcoming visitors, sharing insights about our collection, and ensuring our visitors are engaged. As a Visitor Experience Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in bringing history to life for our guests.Opportunity Type: Long-term Commitment
District: Broxbourne, Dacorum, East Herts, Harlow, Hertsmere, North Herts, St Albans, Stevenage, Welwyn/Hatfield
Location: Indoor
Time of day: Full Working Week, Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons, Weekend Full Days, Weekend Half Days
Practical Considerations: Remote site a volunteer would need access to a vehicle or mode of transport.
Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS), Own vehicle or access to a vehicle
Requirements (additional): Will require references
Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, University students, Older People, People with restricted mobility

Key Responsibilities
Welcome and engage with visitors to create a memorable experience
Provide information about the Prehistory Centre’s collection, layout, and educational purpose
Maintain a tidy, accessible, and welcoming environment within the Centre
Assist with events and activities hosted within the Prehistory Centre
Support other duties in line with day-to-day visitor operations
