Vacancy for a volunteer role in the District of Hatfield.

We are looking for a community minded volunteer to fill the role of district coordinator to assist HertsWatch in Hatfield keeping people safe and promoting community spirit.

The role consists of:

Represent your District at HertsWatch meetings (quarterly in the evening)

Organise meetings with police and other agencies if appropriate

Assist at Safer Streets events when possible and encourage other Neighbourhood Watch scheme Coordinators to do likewise

Work to recruit Ward/Street scheme Co-ordinators where there are gaps

Drive Neighbourhood Watch activity, i.e. stalls at fetes and other events, working with Police to launch new schemes and maintain activity in existing schemes

Organise meetings for Ward and Area Co-ordinators as required

Attend the local council led Joint Action Group or other local meetings as representative of Neighbourhood Watch


The time given to the role is up to you.

Training will be given as required.
