Home-Start Watford and Three Rivers

We help local families with at least one child under 5 years old deal with the challenges they face. We intervene early to support parents as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children.

How we do it...through our network of Home-Visiting Volunteers. We train volunteers with parenting experience to offer practical/emotional help and friendship to families each week. Over 6
months, they build in-depth relationships and help prevent family crisis.

We run Family groups for the families we support, creating a warm and welcoming space for families to grow together and make friendships.

We also offer counselling to our families, we provide financially accessible 1:1 services, with free childcare.
