James Marshall Foundation CIO

The James Marshall Foundation, established over 300 years ago, is a charity that seeks to change the lives of young people in our local community by breaking down the barrier of financial disadvantage. It has significant impact by providing up to 1,000 grants costing £200,000 each year to support educational and career development opportunities for financially disadvantaged young people aged 4 – 24 years. The applicants must live in Harpenden, Wheathampstead, Kimpton, Redbourn, Flamstead, and Markyate. For example, the James Marshall Foundation can provide a significant contribution towards the costs of apprenticeships, university or further education courses, laptops or careers advice, and at the younger end, towards the costs of uniform, residential school trips, technology, work experience and extra-curricular activities. Applying for grants is quick and easy using the online application form on our website.
