Winds Music/The Windrush & Jazz Appreciation Society
Specialist Music Education and Community Music Provision
Our Specialist Music Education and Community Music Provision is designed to make high-quality music-making accessible, inclusive and meaningful for people of all ages and abilities. We provide tailored musical opportunities that support individual development, creativity, confidence and wellbeing, while encouraging participants to engage actively with their communities.
Provision may include one-to-one and small-group tuition, ensemble and workshop programmes, community music projects, outreach activities and collaborative performances. Sessions are adapted to meet the needs, interests and abilities of participants, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to develop their musical skills and experience the social and creative benefits of making music together.
Working in partnership with schools, community organisations, families and local services, our approach aims to remove barriers to participation and create welcoming spaces where individuals can learn, express themselves and build connections through music.
Our provision is underpinned by an inclusive, person-centred approach, with a strong focus on participation, progression, creativity and community engagement.
