Trestle Arts Base is a 100-year-old chapel, beautifully converted into a unique performing arts centre. Situated in the tranquil setting of Highfield Park, just five minutes from St Albans city centre by car, this unique venue offers fantastic facilities for all occasions.
Since 2002, Trestle Theatre Company has run Trestle Arts Base as a fully operational arts centre; Trestle offers technical support, insight and advice to help ensure that your function is everything you imagined.
The spaces available
The Theatre
The black box theatre is the perfect blank canvas, which can be themed for your event. This flexible space is licensed for up to 125 people (subject to configuration) and is fully equipped with professional sound and lighting equipment.

A stunning space featuring the Chapel’s original arched window and a partial glass floor decorated with the architectural plans of the building. Whether you need space for VIP guests, a cocktail bar or a play area for children, this vibrant space can be easily adapted.
