Contact your school direct to see if they're open on a day of severe weather. Find your school's contact details here.

School behaviour standards and guidelines

All children attending schools in Hertfordshire are expected to follow the expected behaviour standards and guidelines below:

  • Food must not be taken into school (unless the school’s packed lunch policy permits this)
  • Nuts must not, in any circumstances, be taken into school or onto school transport
  • You should check your child’s book bag every evening for newsletters, information and forms from the school.
Signed forms can be returned to the school with your child the following day
  • Antisocial, disruptive and dangerous behaviours will not be tolerated at school or on school transport.
This includes harassing and bullying other pupils and/or the driver, and preventing others from getting on or off the bus
  • Seatbelts must be worn where provided
  • Pupils should be ready to board the bus at the specified time
  • All pupils must travel on their allocated bus and cannot choose to travel or not travel with other pupils.

Please note that poor behaviour may lead to your child being temporarily or permanently
banned from transport and/or excluded from school if their behaviour does not improve.
If a pupil is no longer permitted to travel on the provided transport, we will be unable to
provide alternative options and it will be your responsibility to arrange and pay for transport to school for your child.
