Friday 5th May

Hatfield: Living Crafts (5th-8th May)

Living Crafts

Living Crafts are bringing Coronation celebrations to you with a large screen TV live streaming all the festivities over the weekend.

Enjoy the 'Crafts for the Coronation' feature in the Showcase Pavilion with specially made exhibits from craftsmen and women to mark the ceremony.

There will be plenty of bunting and Coronation food for you to enjoy in the refreshments area and some Coronation themed drop-in activities around the showground.

Saturday 6th May

Abbots Langley: Party in the Park

This is a FREE event with live music and entertainment for all the family! You can bring a picnic or visit the wide variety of food stalls.

  • Bouncy castles, bungy trampolines and children’s rides.
  • Live entertainment from a wide variety of acts, includes a dj, dance group, children’s choir, adults choir, live band, and tribute acts.
  • Food stalls include: Burgers, fries, tacos, paella, hog roast, Coronation Chicken baps and pizzas.

The Beacon will be lit in celebration of the King at 9pm.

There will be a free screening of the Coronation with refreshments available and free children's rides.

Borehamwood: Youth FC Celebrates The King's Coronation

The Coronation of King Charles III will be playing live in the Club House from 11am. There will be music, a BBQ, bouncy castle, Beat the Goalie, tug of war, coconut shy, cake stall, tombola, ice-cream van and a small selection of other stalls. Cash only - no cards will be accepted.

Radlett: Coronation Screening and Fun Day

Aldenham Parish Council is thrilled to announce that they will be bringing you this amazing, all day event! We will be screening the coronation live at Phillimore Recreation Ground. There will be fun fair rides, food and drink and much more. Bring a blankets and a picnic, just come for the fun fair or take a walk around the community stalls.

St Albans: Coronation Festival

St Stephen Parish Council is thrilled to be running ‘A Coronation Festival’ with live music, a screen showing coronation highlights, our very wonderful Elvis Shmelvis hosting, food and drink stalls, children’s activities and a firework finale!

St Albans: George Street Party

George Street is hosting a party which is open to all: "Please buy your food and drinks locally and visit our wonderful shops!"

Wheathampstead: Coronation Celebration Picnic

There will be a live screening of the Coronation ceremony and parade followed by live jazz from the community band BSV, accompanying a community picnic.

Refreshments include afternoon tea and cake, an ice cream van and a bar selling local beer, wine, Pimms and prosecco to toast the celebrations in style. For the kids, big and small, there will be giant inflatable games and classic wooden games free to use on the playing fields (weather dependant).

Sunday 7th May

Bushey: Coronation Picnic in the Park

Visit the Coronation Picnic in the Park for live music, 20+ stalls, food activities, crafts, junior tennis sessions, a bouncy castle and bungee trampolines, and fairytale fancy dress competition. You are welcome to bring your own picnic.

Essendon: Picnic on the Field

There will be a BBQ, Bar and Real Ale in the cricket pavilion, live music and bouncy castles and races for the kids. Free parking. (School hall if wet). Bring your own Picnic, Drinks, blankets, chairs, sunscreen, etc!

Letchworth: Big Lunch

"Come along to have lunch in our marquee and enjoy the entertainment that we are providing. Food stalls, Magician, face painting, City Chorus, Morris Dancers, candy floss, fair, stilt people and much more. The fun starts at 12:00."

London Colney: Coronation Big Lunch

"Come and celebrate the Coronation of Kings Charles III at Caledon Community Centre. Doors open at 12 noon, with a buffet lunch and musical entertainment throughout the afternoon. Fancy dress is optional and there will be a prize for the best entry. Face painter and balloon artist will be on hand if you fancy a balloon crown or a union jack makeover."

Monday 8th May

Berkhamsted: Coronation Street Party

For the coronation of Charles III, Berkhamsted Town Council will be staging a street party along the High Street.

  • Live music from Lost Vox, After Eve, Bridgewater School Choir
  • Singalong with Kathryn Jenkin and Phillip Conway-Brown
  • Table entertainment: face painters, bubbleologist, balloon modellers and magicians
  • International food court, with gin, fizz, mocktails and cocktails
  • Coronation History Exhibition at the Civic Centre
  • Raffle with amazing prizes!

Bushey: Coronation’s Big Help Out Day

This event is part of the national volunteering day the Big Help Out.

Join Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care (SRLC) for the Coronation’s Big Help Out Day. You will help prepare 500 special gift packs, write handwritten cards, and support local children's charities by making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities and from low-income families. These gifts will be distributed to celebrate National Children’s Day on 14th May.

Harpenden: Coronation Tea Party

St Nicholas Church invites you to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III with afternoon cream teas, live music, entertainment, crafts.

All profits will go to Toilet Twinning and Hertsmere Women's Refuge and the Parish of Harpenden.

Harpenden: Random Acts of Kindness

In Harpenden's town centre, look out for the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers planting small flowers and seeds in pots on the concourse outside the library from 10am - 12pm. These pots will be given out to the next adult they see.

On Church Green, Harpenden Scouts will be offering smores around an open fire, encouraging people to find out more about their volunteering opportunities.

Redbourn: The Big Pick

This event is part of the national volunteering day the Big Help Out.

Redbourn Parish Councillors are holding a litter picking session on Monday 8th May from 10:30am. It will start at the Redbourn Parish Centre where equipment will be provided.

St Albans: The Big Sort Out

This event is part of the national volunteering day the Big Help Out.

Shopmobility St Albans is inviting volunteers to help them have a sort out of their storage area, deep clean their mobility scooters and wheelchairs, and tidy their small garden area. They are looking for volunteers who don't mind being physically active for a few hours.

This event is part of the national volunteering day the Big Help Out

To mark His majesty The King's Coronation, St Helen’s & St Peter’s has organised a morning at St Helen's Churchyard smartening up the beautiful green space in the centre of the village.  It will be a community effort, followed by a barbeque for everyone.
