We provide group sessions for refugees and asylum seekers, enabling individuals to connect with others and explore common issues, concerns and share ideas. The purpose of the groups is to assist the group co-ordinator with running a group that supports refugees and asylum seekers who require support with both their wellbeing and practical challenges.We are looking for volunteers who will support the running of the Flourish Group.
Opportunity Type: Long-term Commitment

Location: Indoor
Time of day: Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons
Practical Considerations: To be able to use google translate when supporting refugees or asylum seekers
Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)
Requirements (additional): Required on Tuesdays (South Hill Centre) or Thursdays (Watford)
Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, University students, Older People

Full Description:
Main tasks
- Support clients with practical support including filling out forms
- Confident in use of google translator if needed
- Help to sign post and refer clients to the relevant agencies
- Support the groups coordinator with issuing and accepting referral forms
- Assist the group coordinator with setting up the group
- To take a person centered approach
Minimum of 3 hours per week- Tuesdays
