Summary of the Role

To be a company director and provide specialist high level advice and insight as part of the Isabel Hospice Trading Ltd Board to help identify and deliver vision and strategy and oversee the delivery of operating plans that enable the maximisation of profits for the Charity.

We are seeking volunteers who share our charitable values, who bring significant experience from the retail sector at a strategic level.

Time of day: Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons, Weekday Evenings

Practical Considerations: To read papers and attend and take part in Isabel Hospice Trading Ltd Board meetings. These are usually 4 times a year and last c 2hours. They usually occur late afternoon and are organised as virtual meetings.

Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)

Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, Older People

Main Responsibilities

· To be a registered director of Isabel Hospice Trading
Limited with Companies House along with other
Trustees/Directors

· Offer strategic advice and support to the Isabel Hospice
Trading Ltd Board on future plans and decisions, to
ensure the continuous development and improvement
that maximises performance and profit of Isabel Hospice
Trading Ltd.

· To advise on new opportunities, directions, and methods,
and on suitability of retail premises.

· To provide expert advice and support to the Director of
Income and Marketing, and Head of Retail and
Marketing.

· To read papers and attend and take part in Isabel
Hospice Trading Ltd Board meetings. These are usually 4
times a year and last c 2hours. They usually occur late
afternoon and are organised as virtual meetings.

· Take part in other meetings/projects as required.

· Independent Directors are expected to visit shops and e-
commerce particularly as part of induction so that they
are aware of the operations that the employed staff are
taking forwards.
