Rennie Grove Peace is committed to linking people in our local area to our services. Engagement Ambassadors help spread the word about what we do, why it matters and represent RGP externally through visits, events, conferences and talks.Supporting the Community Engagement team, our Engagement Ambassadors will help to dispel myths about hospice care and educate the public about the role of the hospice in supporting patients and their families with life-limiting illness, from early diagnosis, throughout their illness, and, for families and carers, through to bereavement care.

Full Description:
Main tasks
• look to arrange visits and talks to local community and business groups
• promote the hospice by delivering engaging presentations and talks to groups at external meetings or events
• attend Rennie Grove Peace events, such as fundraising, volunteer recruitment, corporate meet and greets and undertake hospice tours
• be a “face” of Rennie Grove Peace by sharing your story about how you became involved in the charity
• meet clinical, health care and social care teams, so you have a good understanding of how to refer to clinical and patient services
• share information about Rennie Grove Peace events and news within your network, showing people how they can get involved by supporting or volunteering for us
• proactively research local groups and organisations that welcome outside speakers at meetings, events, AGMs etc. in conjunction with all hospice departments
