What will you be doing?As an Employment Support Mentor you will be helping with the following: -
Assisting clients in face-to-face meetings supporting them to build confidence and set goals.
Helping them job search or search for volunteering opportunities. Assisting people to put CV’s together and support with application forms.
Helping to coordinate appointments.
Managing a small caseload of people depending on availability.
Opportunity Type: Long-term Commitment
District: Hertsmere, St Albans
Location: Indoor
Time of day: Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons
Practical Considerations: No formal qualifications or prior guiding experience are required to volunteer with us.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and abilities.
Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)
Suitable for: 18 – 25 year olds, Aged 26 and over, University students, Older People, People with a visual impairment
Suitable for volunteers interested in: Education & Training (adults), Unemployment & Worklessness

What are we looking for?
Someone who likes to help motivate others.
Able to commit to a minimum of 3 hours a week.
Able to use basic Microsoft Word.
Ability to communicate with a range of people.
All Training will be provided.
