Welcome to another week of training information. This week we are focussing on helping parents or carers support children in being confident with numbers.

Summer is upon us and children will be breaking from school soon. If you are looking for a fun, creative and engaging day during the holidays, come to our half day of free activities around numbers with your children. Sign up here - Creative Fun with Numbers

Support your child and help them be confident with numbers by signing up to Help your Child love Numbers . This in person session will focus on providing parents and carers to help children, enjoy working with numbers and gain an important skill. Lots of tips and games on the session! MULTIPLY WORKSHOPS

Money Management

Managing personal finances and making decisions about money are an important part of everyday life.

In this session you will understand how to budget and keep track of your spending and gain an overview on how finance is designed whilst improving your numeracy skills.

This course is funded by Multiply a nation wide project to help adults improve their numeracy skills.  Please note this is an in-person course.

Creative Fun with Numbers

Come and join us for 3 hours of free summer fun with your child!.
Help them explore numeracy through a range of creative and physical activities. Make new friends and play with numbers!
Please note parents and guardians are required to participate with their child/children at this event.

The best way to improve confidence in numbers is by doing tasks where children are focused on something they enjoy and numbers are part of an activity. This in turn will improve your confidence as parent to continue to help your child develop this important life skill. Introducing Arlo the Alien our Children's storybook.

Cyber Security Training

During this course we will cover:
What is cyber security?

Living Well Courses

These courses have been designed to support people make positive changes in their lives. Courses and workshops will be delivered online and in their local centres by experienced and passionate Mind in Mid Herts trainers.

Think CO- An Introductory workshop to Carbon Monoxide(CO) risks at home

The aim of this virtual Zoom workshop is to raise awareness of carbon monoxide risks for people who work in the homes of vulnerable people. This online, hour long workshop is aimed at front line staff and volunteers from social care, NHS, FRS, voluntary and private sectors working in the UK who visit vulnerable people in their homes every day.

Making Every Contact Count (MECC) Training
Hertfordshire Health Improvement Service is introducing new training packages for MECC to facilitate conversations about healthy lifestyle and behavioural changes.

The MECC training packages available provide three options that help support professionals in their roles within the community.

MECC Lite and MECC support initial conversations from as little as 30 seconds to 10 minutes with residents who can benefit from information, encouragement and signposting. MECC Plus is an accredited training session that allows professionals to develop their healthy conversation skills for discussions over ten minutes, encouraging residents to create a behavioural change plan and empowering them to support change.

The MECC Avatar is also available to support the MECC training delivered for testing your own skills and knowledge in a virtual scenario.

Spot the Signs Training Dates

Anyone working in primary care or in the voluntary sector with adults is able to sign up to either a 1 hour or a 3 hour fully funded training sessions on learning how to Spot the Signs of those at risk.

Find Your Career Path - A 1-day, 3 hour workshop
This 3-hour workshop taught online and in real time cover job roles, qualifications and skills needed to work in any industry. Discover your own skills and qualities, and how they can be transferred to suitable job roles. You will be using research skills to plan an early career path into any industry.
