• Communication/life skills - Speak about yourself in a way that helps you shine, in interviews or life in general

This webinar explores the complexity of grief experiences, and underlines the fact that there is no right way to grieve. It also addresses some of the unhelpful myths surrounding grief and explores the dynamic and constantly changing nature of grief. Additionally, it looks at the specifics of grieving and confronting death during this difficult time.

Free family fun day for Bengali families
Abbey Health Primary Care Network is inviting Bengali families in Hertfordshire to an afternoon of free family fun on Saturday 30 August.

There will be lots of activities to take part in as well as information on healthy eating, physical fitness and more!

Join Trestle School of Drama this summer as we find a way to pass the sunny days with our mates and whoever else we might stumble upon.

Using Trestle’s iconic masks the week will end with an outdoor site specific performance to make the most of St Albans green space.

Join a free Family Fun sessions, celebrate National Playday with Hertfordshire Family Centre Service.

These sessions offer a wide range of activities for you and your children to enjoy and play together. They are an opportunity for you to meet other local families and get advice and support from the Family Centre team. As well as lots for under 5’s to enjoy, there will be activities for siblings up to the age of 8.

Over the summer they will be talking about school transitions in the Family Fun and SEND Chat and Play sessions. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to offer advice with this next big step!

Hertsmere Mencap is looking for a volunteer to support their staff team with administrative tasks for 10 hours a week. The role will be home-based until October, then hybrid between home and our office in Borehamwood (WD6).

The role will include:

• Undertaking reference checks and DBS checks for all new staff and volunteers for both adult activities and our children's holiday club
• Reviewing grant funding alerts and identifying relevant opportunities for the Grant Manager
• Carrying out bulk printing tasks such as staff contracts for easter and summer holiday clubs, organisational policies, and adult activity flyers and calendars
• Assisting in the recruitment process before each holiday club, to include liaising with local schools and colleges
• Updating the adult activities register in Excel on a daily basis.

Citizens Advice Welwyn Hatfield is currently looking for a social media volunteer to build their public profile and improve their communications for the purpose of raising awareness of their services, attracting volunteers, encouraging financial support and sharing information on their impact. They need help telling local residents and stakeholders about their work. They are seeking an individual who has the ability to deliver engaging content and who will help Citizens Advice Welwyn Hatfield to harness the power of social media.

St Albans & District Talking Newspaper creates an audio programme designed for those in the St Albans & District whose visual impairment puts them at risk of being excluded from what is happening around their local community.

They are seeking an additional producer to provide backup or to job-share with existing producers. The task is to follow a programme template creatively, drawing on an established team of readers and guests to record, create and deliver an audio programme that is of value to their listeners. They are looking for someone who has either relevant experience or a creative instinct or a love of radio.
