Meet Here 2 Belong
For many young people, moving into their first home is an exciting milestone. For care leavers, it can feel very different.
Many arrive at their first accommodation with very few belonging, often carried in a bin bag. They find themselves in an empty room, expected to manage independent adult life alone.
Here 2 Belong supports these young people who are leaving care and moving into independent or semi-independent accommodation.
By working alongside the professionals who support them, we provide first home kits containing bedding, towels, blankets, toiletries and small home comforts, that can help transform a bare space into somewhere that feel welcoming and cared for.
We believe a home is more than four walls. It is about dignity, belonging, and knowing that someone thought about you during this important transition in your life.
As a new organisation, we are currently building the partnerships and funding that will allow us to reach more care leavers. We are looking for individuals, businesses and organisations who can support us through funding, partnerships, introductions and by helping us spread the word and raise awareness.
